As part of our 20 year environmental plan, a ‘whole estate’ baseline survey is to be undertaken to capture all of the natural capital we have. This measurement will be a snapshot of our current resources such as hedges, woodlands, forestry, farmland and river banks.
The aim is to then implement a long term plan to continually enhance these natural resources which in turn will add to the biodiversity.
To complement this action, planting of 600 trees began along the banks of the river Dee including oak, alder, birch, crab apple, chestnut, hawthorn, and the very rare Manchester (black) poplar.
