We hosted Beccy Willson from the ‘Carbon Farming Project’ to take numerous soil samples in different areas and at different depths to evaluate the state of our soils and ultimately determine the amount of carbon we store underground. This voluntary programme measures the type of soil, the amount of compaction, and worm counts. Once we have a baseline of information we can look at amending farming practices to enhance carbon storage.
