Farndon business community to host a Christmas Weekend
A group of independent businesses on the Barnston Estate in Farndon are to host a festive celebration in the village.
Top Farm Christmas Weekend will take place on December 6th & 7th in the Courtyard just off the High Street in the village.
The event follows on from a very successful Summer Social which took place in May when a dozen businesses that make up Top Farm teamed up. The Top Farm business community includes specialists in beauty, hair, food, flowers, gifting, interiors and homeware.
The Top Farm Christmas Weekend will include an artisan market, live music, food offerings from award-winning Restaurant 209 and a festive film.
Proceeds from the ticket sale will be going to this year’s chosen charity, Soul Kitchen Chester, a voluntary charity providing food and support to those experiencing homelessness and food poverty.
Helen Knox, co-founder of interior designers Lewis Knox, said: “After a successful Top Farm Summer Social earlier in the year, we’re looking forward to putting on the Top Farm Christmas Weekend.
“The artisan market will feature businesses within Top Farm and the wider Barnston Estate including live music from local resident Paul Mannion and food offerings from Restaurant 209 and drink from Big Hand Brewery.
“The festive film will be a lovely opportunity for people to enjoy a much-loved classic Christmas film together. We’ll have fire pits located throughout the courtyard and hot drinks available to buy.
“At such a celebratory time we wanted to showcase the very special business and community spirit we have here within Farndon and also raise funds for Soul Kitchen.”
Estate Manager Ed Barnston said: “We’re delighted that the Top Farm business community is building on the success of their Summer Social with what promises to be a lovely couple of days to get us all in the mood for the festive season.”
