A magical Christmas weekend at Top Farm
What an amazing weekend as Farndon came alive with festive cheer as the local business community hosted the first-ever Top Farm Christmas Weekend.
Following Friday evening’s Christmas tree lights switch on, on Saturday afternoon the courtyard at Top Farm was opened as an artisan market filled with local creativity. Independent makers and small businesses from the wider Barnston Estate offered gifts, homeware, flowers, crafts and festive treats.
As dusk fell, the atmosphere turned cosy and magical with a fire pit to keep warm and to toast marshmallows on and the scent of mulled drinks and delicious food filling the air.
Live music from local artist Paul Mannion added to the atmosphere.
On Sunday afternoon everyone gathered again to watch the Christmas film Elf, the community-voted festive film.
It was a truly magical way to start the holiday season.
Thank you to everyone involved in making the weekend so special and to photographer Gino De Blasio for capturing these lovely images.
Best of all, the weekend didn’t just spread joy, it also gave back. All proceeds from ticket sales went to Soul Kitchen Chester, supporting people facing homelessness and food poverty.
