February 2018

After many years of neglect, an old and unproductive orchard was decided to be cut down and the ground cleared. This was hard work in the snow but the 0.3 acre site will be returned to its former glory with imminent plans to re-plant over 65 fruit trees comprising mulberry, damson, pear, and different types of plum and apple. The wood chips produced on site from felling will be used to suppress weeds in the Spring and return much needed organic goodness into the soil.
