The new Autumn issue of the newsletter published by the Worshipful Company of Farmers included a mention for the Barnston Estate.

The story gave an update on Ed Barnston’s recent presentation at this year’s Nuffield Virtual Mini-Conference.

Ed is a Nuffield Farming Scholar who visited eight countries to explore the question of what makes rural estates successful and what benchmarking measure do they use to monitor success.

He surveyed estates covering over 1.5 million acres and found that best estates are proactive, have a clear mindset, have a strong sense of purpose and apply rigorous benchmarking to continually improve.
