Winter on the Barnston Estate

Hard frosts, pink skies and winter sunshine have made for some stunning scenery on the Barnston Estate this month.

We've spotted beautiful frosty cobwebs looking like works of art.

The River Dee at Crewe-by-Farndon has looked stunning in the bright morning daylight with trees along its banks reflected back in the clear water.

Icy hedgerow plants and shrubs including cow parsley, teasel, pine and field margin grasses have had a frosty exterior but will all provide songbirds with food and shelter in the lean winter months.
